Cllr Diane Graham
Councillor
Anston Parish Council
Diane is originally from Suffolk and came`up north' to study to become a teacher staying on afterwards. She chose to live in Anston rather than Sheffield when she got married and has lived in North Anston for over 50 years, finally retiring from Dinnington Comprehensive School in 2004.
Diane is an active member of Dinnington Bridge Club and Anston Bowling Club and has in the past volunteered for both the Samaritans and Victim Support.
In 2014 she decided that she would like to be more involved in the village and was co-opted onto the Council. Since then she has regularly attended Council, Charity & Finance meetings as well as Rotherham Council planning and neighbourhood meetings.
In 2018 Diane became Vice-Chairman of the Parish Council and Chairman in 2019. She is not aligned with any political party and her ambition is to ensure that Anston remains a lovely place in which to live and bring up a family. She is a member of the Council for the north ward of the parish and of the Finance, Land & Property and Staffing Committees of the Council.
